When Feeling Positive Feels Too Hard – Reach For the Next Best Feeling Thought You Can

It is all well and good to be told to be positive but when faced with uncertain or challenging times, trying to just change your mood isn’t always possible is it?

You can’t just change how you are feeling and nor should you.  It is very important to acknowledge all of your feelings and do what you need to support yourself when those feelings are dark or heavy.  

If we ignore our feelings then we are not accepting ourselves as whole – it is necessary to feel all levels of emotion as a human being – we are not supposed to be happy all the time and nor is it possible. 

What is important is that we try and move into a higher level of emotion as quickly as we can so that we don’t stay stuck in lower levels of vibration for too long. 

This is why I find affirmation so powerful.  You can use them to help lift your mood to the best possible feeling thought you can manage in each moment. I love using Abraham Hick’s levels of emotion as a guide.

No emotion is a bad emotion – they are all OK to feel, try not to judge them, instead treat them with loving kindness – welcome them and ask what they need to feel a little better.   

Sometimes you need to go through certain emotions to rise up to a higher one.  For example – anger is normal when moving from jealously to overwhelm, it is a process of healing.  It is OK to allow ourselves to feel each level, recognise what we need whilst we are in that level and move up to better feeling emotion as best we possibly can. 

See if you can notice what your mood might be right now and identify what you can do to lift it perhaps just by one level.
